Green Army Jacket

I have been craving a green army jacket for quite sometime now.  Here are some of my picks:

Club Monaco

James Perse

James Perse

Elizabeth and James

Belted cotton jacket by Elizabeth and James

I can’t pull the trigger because I can’t decide.  Which do you like?

I really like all of those. I had been looking for an army jacket for a while too, and mostly finding things out of my budget, like that Elizabeth and James. I bought one from Target, the Converse brand, and have already worn it quite a few times. I mainly wear it belted. It’s great over pencil skirts to toughen them up a bit, and also casually. Here’s a link:

    • Thank you! I am trying to convince myself that I would wear it all the time. Do you wear yours a lot?

Sorry for that humongous link! I bought it about a month ago and I’ve worn it a dozen times at least. I took out the tie so I could wear it belted. It’s a light cotton, perfect for our climates (I’m in Arizona). I like that the pockets have some gathering, it’s a pretty detail. I’ve put it over a tank and pencil skirt and heels, worn it with jeans, thrown it over a dress that is similar to your Alexander Wang. Very versatile.

      • Thanks so much! I do need something lightweight and I love the price point on the Target one…..

For you, Sydney, because you’re tiny, I would choose the James Perse. For a taller/larger boned woman, the Elizabeth and James. Don’t want you to get lost in there!!! lol…

  3. the james perse is nice (i tried it on at saks recently) and can pass as a “shirt” also

  4. Hmm, well I like the slouchy fit of that Club Monaco one, but like the structuredness of the E&J. Lol, I’m sure that didn’t help. I just wished the James Perse was more saturated in color.
I bought one from F21 and I have to say it has been surprisingly versatile and I love to wear it.
