These Ann Taylor shorts are my new favorite shorts. They are just the right length, are comfortable, and are a little dressier than plain ‘ol cotton shorts. PLUS, unlike some other shorts (I’m looking at you, J.Crew), they don’t cut your legs off when you sit. And, they are 30% off right now. I bought the navy and coral. I wanted to get the white, but they were a bit too sheer for me. I am still on the hunt for a great pair of white shorts.

So, you mean I’m not the ONLY one who has problems with J Crew shorts making my legs feel like they’re in a tourniquet? I’m glad to know that and I will definitely be trying out Ann Taylor. Thanks, Sydney!
You are not alone! A client and I had a conversation about this recently. It happens to many!
Love the classic cut of these but yeah, the JCrew shorts are tough for me too…
And sorry I missed you the other day! Happy Belated Birthday!
J. Crew’s shorts have a weird rise as well. They always poof when I sit (and bind the legs). I pretty much cannot wear anything JCrew below the waist, except for shoes. How is the rise on these?
The rise seems higher than the J. Crew ones. For me, J Crew is never high enough, but I love these.
